For “Graphic Design in Bloom” my primary font choice is the beautiful san serif Asenine with supporting secondary font Helvetica Neue. The process of coming to this conclusion of creating a business cards, shows one a little glimpse of my personal style. Using one of my favorite color combinations, “Sea Foam” green, portrays that I am soft spoken and kind hearted, combined with a complimentary color “Poppy Flower” orange-red, states my classiness with a zest for living. I do find this suits my calming and bright personality.

Case study, while capturing the spirit of craigslist’s unreal stories, I created an 8 page spread with a cover feature, content page, departments page, feature spread and feature secondary spreads covering the cover story.

Using a photograph, I designed a stunning stylized portrait with a word board for direction. Words of love, health, boldness, horsemanship, water, flow and earth began the concept. Use of balance, shape, line and eye flow adding typography taking it even further.

Case study, emulation of Art nouveau history creating a rooster depicting the beautiful curls and swirls used in color research. I found the style’s patterns and motifs were taken mainly from nature and were often carried out with unrestrained exuberance of form, color, and especially line. The characteristic line, a flowing curvilinear, was to give Art Nouveau the descriptive nicknames “noodle,” “whiplash,” “tapeworm,” and “cigarette-smoke style.”
